Anthropic has completed a $65 billion Series H funding round, lifting its post-money valuation to $965 billion as investor appetite for large-scale AI infrastructure continues to grow alongside enterprise adoption of its Claude chatbot.

The company confirmed that demand has strengthened significantly since its Series G round in February, with adoption expanding across global enterprise customers.

It also reported that run rate revenue passed $47 billion earlier this month, driven by wider deployment of Claude in business environments where firms are increasingly integrating AI tools into core operations.

The new round places Anthropic ahead of OpenAI on valuation terms. OpenAI was most recently reported at $852 billion following its latest major fundraising round in March, a figure widely cited in industry reporting rather than a live market valuation.

On that basis, Anthropic now sits higher in headline valuation rankings among leading AI developers.

Earlier this year, Anthropic was valued at $380 billion after raising $30 billion in February, meaning its valuation has more than doubled in a relatively short period, with the latest Series H round reflecting both new capital and previously committed investments being brought into the structure as part of the broader financing package.

The fundraising was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, alongside $15 billion in previously committed funding from hyperscalers.

Within that group, Amazon contributed $5 billion as part of its staged investment programme, having already invested $8 billion in Anthropic and previously outlining plans to invest up to $25 billion in total, structured in phases tied to milestones and long term cloud usage agreements.

Alongside the equity investment, Anthropic has committed to spending more than $100 billion over the next decade on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, tying its expansion directly to access to large scale computing capacity which has become central to training and deploying increasingly resource intensive AI models.

Since February, Anthropic said enterprise usage has broadened across multiple sectors, with increased adoption of Claude contributing to revenue growth and pushing demand for additional compute resources.

The company’s focus remains on scaling infrastructure in line with customer usage rather than solely expanding model capability.

The latest financing round therefore reflects two parallel trends, rising enterprise demand for AI systems and the escalating capital requirements needed to support them at scale, with Anthropic now valued at $965 billion and positioned among the leading privately held AI firms, underpinned by deep partnerships with major cloud providers and sustained investor backing.
